When did you attend Harlaxton?

August-December 1986. My junior year of college. The program was offered through St Joseph’s College in Indiana.

Did you have any unique experiences during your time at Harlaxton?

So many! Spending time in the tiny town of Grantham was special to me. I remember the bronze statue of Sir Isaac Newton who was a theologian and writer; I never once imagined that I would someday be a theologian and a writer! The irony is that we were born on the same day: January 4.

Does Harlaxton still feel like a second home?

Yes even though I haven’t been back YET, someday I will for sure! I always recommend Harlaxton for the study abroad program. I am a huge proponent!

Do you have a favorite trip from your time at Harlaxton?

The travel experiences offered were each spectacular in their own way! I loved life at the manor, Florence, London, and Belvoir Castle to name a few. I am privileged to share my travel experience with others as my profession is all about travel. My college experiences overseas inspired me to start my own Faith Travel business three years ago. Our expertise is in high school international cultural and spiritual groups.

Did your experience at Harlaxton have an impact on your future?

Yes. We actually named our son, Grantham. He was born in 1998. He is a junior at Butler University discerning where he might study for a semester overseas in Spring 2019.

Was it a life-changing experience?

The Harlaxton experience was life-changing for me and it opened my eyes to a much larger world of people, places and things to do with your life!
